  • What are maintenance Medications?
  • Maintenance drugs are medications prescribed for chronic, long-term conditions and are taken on a regular, recurring basis. Examples of chronic conditions are high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes to name a few. These drugs are well-established medications that have proven safety and efficacy and are considered first-line therapy options for the treatment of common chronic conditions. To find the generic maintenance medications covered on the Bonanza Rx home delivery formulary, go the documents section on the member portal for the complete listing (chronic formulary).

  • What steps are needed to get my maintenance prescription filled by Bonanza Rx home delivery?
  • Bonanza Rx must have a prescription on file to fill your chronic/maintenance medications. Your doctor can e-prescribe, fax, or call in your prescription directly to our home delivery facility. Our staff will receive the prescription and contact you to verify personal and payment information.

  • How long will my home delivery order take to process?
  • Once we have your prescription and payment information on file, we can process your order. We have partnered with UPS and USPS to make sure your packages arrive safely and securely in your mailbox. All packages that leave our facility are scanned and tracked through USPS tracking system so that you will always know where your package is, until it arrives at your door. Shipping only takes 3-5 business days to almost anywhere in the U.S.

  • What is an Acute medication?
  • An acute medication is a medication for a short-term condition, or a medication needed Immediately.

  • What is a Chronic medication?
  • A chronic medication is also known as a maintenance medication. Chronic medications are used for an ongoing medical condition or a long-term condition.

  • What is the definition of the Bonanza Rx formulary?
  • The Bonanza Rx formulary is a list of generic prescription medications that are offered at no cost to you if they are included on the Acute and Chronic formulary lists.

  • What if my medications aren't on the acute or chronic formulary?
  • If your medication isn’t on the Acute formulary or Chronic Formulary you can take your prescription to a retail pharmacy and present your prescription card and you will receive special pricing.

  • How much is my medication going to cost me if it isn't on the formulary?
  • You will need to take your prescription to a retail pharmacy, and they will need to process the prescription to obtain the special pricing . Go to the Pharmacy Locator to see which retail pharmacies are in our network.

  • What do I do if my mailing or shipping addresses changes?
  • For a change in your mailing address, you will need to contact your group and let them know the change. If your shipping address changes you can contact our Customer Service at 1-855-205-4406 and they can make the shipping address change for you.

  • What if I need my medications shipped faster?
  • You can call our Customer Service at 1-855-205-4406 and they will be able to help you.

  • What is the Save on Diabetes program?
  • Save on Diabetes Program is another added value that is offered through the Bonanza Rx Home delivery. Many oral diabetic medications and a Glucometer Kit with supplies is available for FREE. The Kit includes a ForA Glucometer, 50 Testing strips, a lancet device, lancets and control solution. Supplies are refilled for a minimal cost only through the Bonanza Rx home delivery service.
    If you cannot find your medication listed on any of the Bonanza Rx formularies, they can still be obtained using the pharmacy card at the retail stores, for special pricing.

  • How can I find what OTC's are covered and how much they are?
  • The Bonanza Rx OTC formulary consists of some of the most commonly used medications that do not require a prescription. To order these, OTC’s you may contact the Customer Service at 1-855-205-4406

  • How do I get my medications transferred from my retail pharmacy to Bonanza Rx home delivery?
  • If you need to transfer a prescription, we can initiate a prescription request for you from your local retail pharmacy or physician, and have it transferred to Bonanza Rx home delivery. If there are any issues facilitating the receipt or transfer of your prescription to our home delivery pharmacy, we will reach out to you via email and or phone for assistance.

  • What is pharmacy coaching?
  • Our team of customer service representatives and Licensed Pharmacists will educate members on possible medication options and opportunities to save additional money when available. We will consult with you and your doctor to inform you of the alternatives and help make the best decision for your personal and financial health.
